Hello, my very dear friends
Yes, I’m still here! I’ve been flat out like a lizard drinking trying to keep up with all of the family birthdays that we have at this time of the year – 2 in December, 5 in January & 2 at the beginning of February. To make things even more complicated, 2 were 21sts, 2 were 18ths & 1 was for a 50th!
All of these “special” cards to make kept me overly busy! It’s a good thing that my Card-making Classes goes into recess for the month of January!! Now you know why!
However, back into it on 2nd and 3rd of February – so dust the cobwebs off and find all of your equipment ready for then. I have a very pretty but different card all ready for you.
I’m also going to be opening a “Jenny’s Cards from the Heart Store”. Hopefully that will be up and running by the first class, so you should be able to purchase the items used for making the card. Fingers crossed!!
I thought I would share with you the card I made for grandson Riley’s 18th birthday. I used the Monkeying Around Collection. I added a piece of card, with a centre circle die cutout, to the main front, raised by using double foam strips to make it 3 dimensional. Palm trees (from “Palm Tree and Monkey” stamps & dies) were attached to both sides of this top card. Strung between the palms was the monkey lying back in his hammock sucking on a coconut with the top cut off (from “Monkeying Around” stamps & dies). Because of the 3D effect it looks like he’s swinging in the air. I’ll attach a photo so you can see what I did.
I’ve another 18th coming up and the 50th, so I’d better get busy! The 18th is finished but the 50th is only half way there.
I’ll have those to share with you soon.
Hugs
Jenny x
